Brainstorming Comparisons: 4th Graders Get Busy!

4th graders at Shoesmith sharpened their observation skills and donned their thinking caps to make creative comparisons between things in our world. During the brainstorm part of our lesson, Keira said the “the sky and ocean are like best friends” and Ms. Lehner added that “both the sky and ocean were enormous and huge.” Jayden said that his “eyes were like the Grand Canyon;” while James said that his “shoes were quiet as the carpet.” Zackary noted that “a rock is like a fist;” and Misa said that sometimes “hair is like trees blowing in the wind!”
