BINGO Poems (8th)

This week we read Fatimah Asghar’s Microaggression Bingo and discussed how each detail built up to a larger and more overwhelming whole. The students discussed how weird it felt for there not to be a particular order to read the poem in, but how it made sense for this topic and these examples. We wrote our own BINGO poems–creating a general feeling through an abundance of details. Many students thought about the stress of school and the transition to high school and many talked about special times with their friends.
