A Rainbow of Memories and Feelings

Today, we read “Green” by a 4th grade student named Malik. We thought about how colors can remind us of memories and experiences and feelings. The kids were full of energy and enthusiasm and ideas and we loved sharing our thoughts. Enjoy a few of their poems.

Lavender is Calm Xio

Lavender is being calm and happy

meditating in piece. You can imagine yourself

in a room doing some breathing techniques. And

breath in and out and in and out and in and out.

Lavender is peace and quiet.

Blue is Diego

Blue is me in a superhero

costume. Blue is me and

my family in a spacecraft.

Blue is me as a hero in a

superhero car. Blue is me

eating pizza. Blue is me eating

Mcdonald’s. Blue is me getting

Money. Blue is me playing

soccer with my family. Blue

is me playing video games.

Blue is me playing youtube.

Blue is me playing prodigy.

Yellow Deepshika

Yellow is sun shining through

the blue sky and a human sitting

under the sun eating a banana but

very soon the shining sun fades into

the dark moon glowing in the night sky.
