7th Grade- Personification Pt. 2

I waited all week to read some more personification poems by Foster Parks 7th grade class! Here are a few more that students had continued working on and finished in this week’s session.

Where Does Life Take Me? Aleyah T.

Dear Life, sweet sweet life where do
you take me

I don’t care if it takes 10 years
for me to see the world I just
want to see you

From crying to standing up with a
smile on my face, life happens for any
and every reason

And when I die that’s my time for
me to rest, I’d have to lay on a
hospital bed, call me to the Lord
to be in the dirt for life.

The Lord calls my name and asks
“How was life down there?” and
asks about college why you
didn’t go.

He did, now I had a life to live
but he just didn’t listen. Ask
him why we have people to mess
up, he just said I don’t know
Where does life take me?

My Ocean Eummani G.

Oh ocean
my ocean
how you glisten and gleam
how you smile at me
how you are- so cold
or at least that’s what I’ve been told
so big and blue
I don’t know what to do
Oh how much I wish
that I could swim in you
but I can’t swim
it makes me so dim
so down
that I might drown
