Personification Poems- 7th grade

After some schedule changes and a week off, we were back at Perez to finish off our personification poems. There were so many great pieces written this week, some to the universe, the ocean, to money, even one written to a pet who won’t stop nipping at fingers. Enjoy this week’s student pieces!

Mr. Reinholdt 7th Grade

Money Emanuel

Why are you so monumental?
Why do you have to be hard to earn?
Why do you disappear in less than a day?
Why do you multipy by any number?
You can go into anybody’s hands.

Dear Universe Damian

Dear Universe,
What does it feel
like to hold the earth?
How do you exist?
What makes you expand?
Based on what I know what
have you seen? One question
can receive an infinite amount
of answers in our case.
Do you know I’m here? I’m pretty
sure you hold an infinite amount
of life. We don’t want to be alone
in here. If you can see, feel, hear. Talk to me.

The Future Ivana

Future, future, future,
tell me what would happen next
Future, future, future
is something gonna happen to Earth
Oh future would you tell me if
one day I can go to see in
El Dia de Los Muertos,
my dog and grandma again.
Future, future, future
what is it like to know
what would happen next?
