When I was young,
My mom took me to a performance.
The hallway was crowded as a street
And finally, we got into the performance…
As I remember, the line is as long as a river.
Good thing is that it didn’t take long,
But still, I felt like it’s been a million years.
The first half of the performance,
The performer did some dances and magic tricks
I watched as the performer did a spin,
As the performer lifted up a giant rock.
Though I knew it was some magic trick,
I was amused; he’s as strong as a bear!
The rest of the performance,
The performers did a drama play
I didn’t really understand,
There were too many things going on.
It’s as confusing as math word problems!
Though I still liked the performance,
It was very interesting and fun.
I really enjoyed it and hoped she would take me there again someday.
The classroom whiteboard
Was as white as you
When I see a white sheet of paper
I think of your white fluffy skin
Ur as skinny as a tree branch broken off the tree
The storm last night blew branches off
When see the moon, I think of you
The stars are like the sparkle in your eye
when you want a treat of beef jerky
When I wake up early in the morning
Ur right there waiting for me at the end of the stairs

I’m thinking about your presence being as comforting as my stuffed animals
About your voice being as calming as the ocean waves.
I’m thinking about you, like what I’m having for dinner tonight.
