Join the Poetry Center of Chicago at Beauty & Brawn in Logan Square for the May installment of the Six Points Reading Series on May 19 at 7pm!

In 2016 we continue to move to a variety of rotating locations throughout Chicago. This reading is free and open to the public.

This month, we’re pleased to feature Helene Achanzar & Tim “Toaster” Henderson! Curated by Danielle Susi and hosted by Paige Blair.

HELENE ACHANZAR is a Kundiman fellow who has earned awards from the University of Iowa Writer’s House and Philippine American Writers and Artists, Inc. As a freelance writer, she has written for Steppenwolf Theater Company, Hearst Newspapers, and Vice Media.

TIM “TOASTER” HENDERSON is an artist, organizer, and educator from Chicago’s north side.He is a four-time Louder Than A Bomb finalist, a Golden State Slam Finalist, and a Bay Area Unified Slam finalist. His work has appeared on stages ranging from the Metro to Victory Gardens and the Vic, as well as in a variety of literary magazines and anthologies. His chapbook, “Floating Heads,” was published by Watch the Steps Press.
