On May 30, Chicago Poetry Center hosted its Spring Student Showcase, closing out another great season of Poetry Residencies!
Students, parents, and loved ones gathered for a celebration of creativity and self-expression, ending the 2025–2026 school year by highlighting young poets from the classrooms we worked with this year.
During the 2025–2026 school year, Chicago Poetry Center brought Poetry Residencies to nearly 57 classrooms across the city, working with approximately 1700 students with weekly poetry lessons.
Congratulations to our students and Poets in Residence on their incredible work this year. We look forward to continuing these programs in the next school year. Have a fun and creative summer, students!
