I Wish My Dog Would Give Me Bacon: And Other Wishes at Avondale Logandale

The residency begins! The first week we have lots to talk about—what is a poem, anyway? Why are poetic lines different? This year at Avondale Logandale we are working with two 4th grade classes, and one class with 4th and 5th graders. In all classes we had a great conversation about what poetry is, and they wrote of poem of wishes—real and imaginary.

I’m delighted to spend the rest of the year with these classes!

Enjoy the poems!
