I Dream Of A Bounce House: 2nd Grade Dreams @ Darwin!

This week in 2nd grade poems: Dream Worlds! The students and I discussed the playfulness of dreams, and how we could use the comparisons, sounds and other skills we had already worked on to make them come alive. Enjoy!

Crazy Forest

I was walking in
the forest I saw a
big dinosaur it was
sweaty i touched it and
I like it and it tasted
like syrup and I saw here
the coconuts were dogs
and the castle was
made out of hair
the branch on the
tree is a chocolate
bar there was a baseball
team on chocolate grass

I dream i was famous
I dream I went to
8 grand I dream that
it was raining money!

I was a gorilla in
the jungle. Then a lion
came to the jungle. We
fight and then I win
and I turn into
half gorilla and half
lino. A bald eagle came
and then we fight. I win
and I turn into half
gorilla, half lion, and half
eagle. I saw a chocolate
rabbit and ate it. Then I
turned into a rabbit.

I fell to sleep at 8:00 o’clock
I was dreaming of ice mating
and the ice was made of
colors, there was an ice
slide of colors, it was fun
I woke up and was
happy all night
