Car Accident
a poem by Amadaamy G., Grade 5

Before the car accident
the red light changes to green
screeching sounds come from cars
nothing in the world was quiet
I'm glad because I went shopping
right before it happened
but right After the Accident
sirens from ambulance cars rang
other cars and people surrounded it
I got scared,
I've never seen an accident with
my own eyes...
until now.

Stapler
a poem by Anissa S., Grade 5

Can I use you?
As I press you
down you make
a loud noise

as if it hurts. Don't
waste your staples
so I don't have to
open you, and

refill you. You
are sometimes
dangerous, with
your sharp, pointy

staples. Watch what
you staple and make
sure it isn't ever my
finger.

Trees
a poem by Daniel A., Grade 3

Trees are
one of the
most important
things. They
give us
oxygen to
breathe in.

Trees give
homes to
animals like
monkeys
birds, squirrels
and bugs.
Trees grow
fruit for
animals too.
