The New Room

At 3:30, my room is empty, then the doorknob twists and the door opens. I throw my backpack next to my computer desk and it makes a loud thump. I smell the air. It smells like every single thing was cleaned, including the walls, but I look at the walls again, and they’re navy blue, not red.
